The product corresponds to the description-the stand supports the temperature of the drink, but it is unlikely that it can warm up. Notes: Not 100% sure, but seams the Smart load recognition mode works only with metallic cups. The very hot surface (up to 160 centigrades). Recommend! Correction: Smart mode works for all types of mugs. It just requires some water inside.
